For My Pumkin Spice Lovers

Chai always brings me memories of my mother’s home. That delicious aroma that would fill the house with warmth and comfort like a hug from your mother. I would wake up with this aroma rejuvenating my soul. Those weekend morning where we would sip on chai and chat for hours @truebeauty_95  and @sarahdreamingbig . I actually was never found of chai until I moved away. And now I make chai just to bring me close to home. Pakistani chai comes in plenty of variations. However all of these contain spices or herbs. There is cinnamon which is pretty famous in fall time for its rich aromatic fragrance and taste. Not to mentioned used medicinally around the world for it’s antibacterial, antifungal and anti-diabetic properties. Then we have cardamom, gives a refreshing minty almost kick to the chai and is great for digestion problems. There is also cloves which are great for when you have a cold because they are natural painkiller and expectorant. There are endless amount of spices out there

My hijab story

A year ago I was constantly struggling on when to start the hijab for over 2 years...     I was aware that a hijab to me was more than just wearing a head cover(Khiemar). It is a personality improvement as well as attaining the right intentions which was what I wanted to work on. From how I styled my outfits to my intentions and words I wanted to be fully prepared.     However, I asked myself ...can you ever be fully prepared? No because we all strive to become a better person each and everyday. Even though I started building up to the hijab lifestyle, I prayed for a smooth journey. So when time came it would just be an easy.    Time, I always thought about, when would be the right time to start. Do I even have that time, or even just a tomorrow? But honestly I came a conclusion that there  wasn't a right time. It was something you had to just do and be prepared to commit and devote your life to. It wasn't about being ready but how to keep improving yourself at your own p

Merhaba! Welcome All!  Thank you for visiting my first blog! I am Sana, an American-Pakistani living in New Jersey. I am recently finishing up my last semester at Montclair State with a double major in Chemistry and Arabic!  Yes! I know their two completely different bachelors!
